I am trying to prove that my gr gr gr grandfather's dad is Durham Collins b. 121784 Franklin Co.,SC. Married twice Rebecca Hooten and Mary Weaver. I have census records that have a Paralee Collins living in the household with my Collins relatives in 1860 in Marshall Co., TN and have been told that Durham Collins is her dad. She was living with my George W. Collins, his wife Mary and their child Susan. George W. Collins is a brother to my William H. Collins (my gr gr gr grandfather, so maybe Paralee is also their sister. William H. Collins b. 1824 TN was adopted by an older George W. Collins in 1840 according to ct. records in Marshall Co., TN (his uncle). Henry Collins was mention in ct. too. Probably George's brother. The problem is that I can't locate my William H. Collin's parents anywhere in TN. The ct. says that he was an orphan in 1840, so they were probably dead. If anyone has information about Durham Collins and all of his children, I'd love to read it. I know he was married at least twice, and had about 18 children according to one source but only about 11 are listed by name. Maybe my William came from his previous marriage. My Collins line is also connected to Finly lines.
