Also, my documented line goes back to a Britton Harris b. 1803 in Darlington, South Carolina who's father was Daniel Harris b. ~ 1770 in North Carolina, d. October 1807 in Darlington, South Carolina . So, the family names are consistant. We have been unable to document where for certain our Daniel Harris came from. One theory is that he is the grandson of Brittain Harris of Franklin, North Carolina.

I am also researching Daniel Harris, Sr and Jr. Also, Daniel Harris Sr. of Warren, NC had a son named Brittain Harris who died in Franklin, NC in 1815. Harbert and Daniel are mentioned in Brittain's estate records.
