According to a Glasgow family history (written in about 1900), a William Williams (son of John Williams from Maryland) was born and raised in Franklin C., NC and later moved to Weakley C., TN.
Based on Census records, William Williams was born in about 1780-1790. William may have had brothers named Allen, Bartlett and Zachariah since they lived relatively close to William in the 1830 Census in Weakley C., TN. A submitter to the Mormon's IGI indicated that a John Williams of Franklin County, NC had a will dated 12 July 1815. Is there anyone who has access to wills or other information which might shed more light on this early Franklin Williams family?
