Daniel Harris from Isle of Wight Co VA was brother of West Harris and others who came to edgecombe Co NC in the part that became Granville which became Bute. West and his family moved on to Anson Co in the part that became Montgomery Co NC. Go to a search engine such as Google and type in West Harris Researchers. This will take you to an extensive genealogy of the family of Sir William Harris of Essex Co England. I have not researched Daniel but can tell you a little.
