My great grandfather, Henry William Carter, was born in Franklin Co. in Feb. 1826. His mother, Mary Williams Carter was a daughter of Henry Williams whose wife was a Cheeves or Chivers. Mu grandfather is mentioned in Henry Williams' will. His father, William Carter, was distantly related to the Battle family. They moved to SW Arkansas in the late 1840's. I would like to find out more about the Williams famitly as well as the Cheeves family, both ancestry and decendents. Thank you.
