My ancestor Douglass Carroll sold his farm on Lyon's Creek in Franklin County, North Carolina in 1791, and by 1798 he bought another farm on Shoulderbone Creek, which at that time was in Greene County, Georgia. Shoulderbone Creek is now in Hancock County, Georgia. He died there on December 13th, 1827, according to our records. His wife was Elizabeth (Vinson) Carroll, the daughter of David Vinson of Franklin County, North Carolina. Douglass and Elizabeth had four sons that we know of: Richmond, David, Harwell, and Allen.
