I hope the shoulder surgery went okay. I know that recovery will take several months with lots of therapy. Mine did anyhow.
I just wanted to let you know that as far as I can tell we are related and that Elias Stone was a son of Jonathan Stone who was the older brother of my 4th great-grandfather John B. Stone Sr. and of William Stone Jr. who was the youngest. That means there father's name was William Stone Sr.,.
All three brothers had all their children in Franklin County, North Carolina. Their is also many black, white and mulatto families with the Stone name living in Franklin and Halifax County, N.C.,. This presented a problem getting families mixed up within the same county, with the same first names and some variations in dates of events that they were involved in. I will keep you posted and still searching for documentation bring the families together even more so. Will talk to you later and be careful with that shoulder. I know it's painful but with therapy it will feel like new.
Sincerily,
Bill Jones
