I am descended from Peter Dickerson, who according to census records, was the son of Charles and Rebecca Dickerson of the Sandy Creek Community. They would have lived there from the mid 1800s to the early 1920's. Charles Dickerson worked at a cotton mill in 1920, and he died in 1925 in Transylvania County. Any other descendants who may have information on Charles Dickerson's parents or other family stories to share, please contact me. The Dickerson roots go back very deep in the Sandy Creek Community, I am hoping to connect with other family who may have photos or newsclippings, or even stories to tell.
