Did you remove some alignement shims when you did the drop???

If your car was correctly aligned before the drop, and you remove about 1/4" of shims from all 4 stud locations your car will be in the approximately the correct alignment. Also that should pull the tire away from the fender. As far as the over all drop, the front end should not have dropped more than 1/2" MAX in fact the drops I have done have only dropped the car 1/4". Ride height is more a function of spring height than it is of UCA mounting location, at least when dealing with only a 1" change. That much drop in ride height tells me you have really tired springs that did not respond well to the slight change in UCA location. Are your LCAs parallel with the road at normal ride height??? I would be willing to bet the ball joint end tilts up. If they are not parallel than you need taller/stiffer springs.
