    1968 factory air heater core removal

    My heater core started seeping and I need to remove/replace it. Is there any way possible that this can be done WITHOUT removing the entire AC unit as the service manual states? The core sits below the evaporator and the case is joined in that area with spring clamps. Any one ever do this?
