I admit the AOD as it comes from Ford is not a particularly exciting conglomeration of gears and related parts.
The upgrades that were available a few years back when I made the swap were done to Baumanns specifications Found on their web page.

I'm not saying that the AOD is the best choice with all the stand alone electronics available these days for the computer controlled slush boxes.
For those wanting a way to increase performance ( with higher ratio rear end) and lower highway gas consumption the AOD upgraded is an easily obtained, modified, reasonably priced and installed alternative to the C-4.
I bought an AOD core for 50 bucks and put $850.00 into the Buamann mods. The install has been performing to my satisfaction for quite a few years.
I used to respect my elders,
not so much any more!
