I have a 68 Mustang Fastback with stock drum spindles in front and 8" rear in back. I am interested in using the Mustang Steve brackets in front and back to swap to the 13" Cobra brakes from 2003. I know I need 17" wheels and the track width in uneffected but it seems some wheels need a spacer to clear the caliper. My intention is to use the Coys C67 17x8 in front and back and would like to know if anyone tried these successfully with no spacer. my second question is that I pulled my Drums off and my spindles are heavily grooved where the bearings contact. I am not going to chance things and intend to replace them. In my search for a replacement I found a set from streetortrack.com http://www.streetortrack.com/Big-Spindle-Kit-pr-24430.html and wondered if these would work?
