I have a 66, 289, MSD ready to run, and MSD coil.
I used to have a pertronix ignition and coil but it didn't idle the best. I changed a bunch of stuff and adjusted a bunch of stuff but it still has a little bit of a rough idle. It's not terrible at all but noticeable. That is why a bought the new MSD stuff (besides I just wanted it). After installing the new dist and coil it still does the same. I noticed that my coil still has the orig pink wire from the ignition going to it. I keep reading in the archives to bypass it and I will but I was wondering what it would do if I left it? Could it cause my idle problem? THANKS!
