Not 3-A but I do have towing insurance, no matter what I drive, and an MC Gold too.
I'm just sayin' that engines, even old beat engines, rarely fail and die completely during a steady highway cruise. In my nearly 50 years of long distance cruisin' in everything from new cars to Model A's, the only time an engine actually left me high & dry was on an L.A. to 'Vegas trip in an "A" when I lost a #3 rod nut and grenaded the engine at 65 mph.
That was prolly my fault (I built it) but there weren't enough big pieces left to do an autopsy. We were in an open speedster and it's a good thing we had seatbelts on...otherwise I think Jean woulda jumped out. Man what a racket!
Why does everyone have time to do a job twice,
but nobody has time to do it once...RIGHT? J.Wesley Cooper
