First let me say, I AGREE, use a Stock type.
That said, I have a buddy who has a Chrome TStat Housing that seals. He drilled two small holes 90 Degrees from the 2 mounting holes and tapped the manifold for them as well. Bolts it down with the 2 larger bolts from factory, then puts in the 2 small hex head bolts and he has been leak free ever since.
The OLDER I get, the FASTER I was.....
