Cutting Coil Springs

I picked up my new tires for my Bullit rims and
mounted them on my 69 Stang yesterday. I rebuilt my front end and did the shelby Drop with 550 coil springs 1" drop. I see I need to lower the front end some more. I know this has been brought up before. How much should I cut off? Start with a 1/3 of coil first? I needa couple of inches maybe 3". Thanks again
