If those aren't "boat-sailor" antics..I don't know what are! 
A little off subject butt-re minds me of "the pain test" we useta give new guys on the sub I was one. Get them to stick two index fingers in a vise to see "how many turns" they could take. (Since they wanted to be "accepted" by the crew they went for it.) After they could stand it no more.....and couldn't get their fingers out..... we would pull down their pants and grease them real good with the grease gun there in the Torpedo Room.
Then we would LEAVE them there with their pants down and the grease dripping from there rear! Naturally..... the rest of the crew would come by and "greet" the new guy standing there in his...perdicament. It was a "tradition" on our boat. Not everybody fell for it...butthay...alot did!
I'm sure we would be court-martialed if that happened today. Todays "guys" are are such "girls" about practical jokes.
Now RTV!!!! Why didn't I think about that, then!!?
