I'm assuming you read Jim's message on this board, posted yesterday. So that tells you current conditions. Recent patrols report a lot of melt & refreeze on Mt. Pinos. Thus Jim's comments about boilerplate conditions. As for the next 2 weeks, what we need is new precipitation followed by maintained sub-freezing temps above 8000'.
Last weekend a number of people were taken by ambulance from Mt. Pinos after collisions with each other and/or immovable objects. Hard icy snow makes for poor sledding IMHO...
