Gentlemen-
In support of our winter tourism planning, could you update the Visitors Center Board of Directors regarding your Winter Coordination meeting of 11/16/07, referenced below, and mail us a copy of the minutes of that meeting to the address shown?
In addition, we would also like copies of any operating agreements, operating plans or other documents relating to inter-agency procedures, policies, coordination and communication guidelines as applicable to winter season activities, including but not limited to the following:
1. Snowplowing, snowplowing funding & priorities including use and amounts of PILT or Adventure Pass funds for such purposes.
2. Chain controls- locations & procedures, requirements, public notification process.
3. Visitor and Resident access regulations, policies and/or restrictions.
4. Adventure Pass sale & enforcement procedures and public information notifications related to that, including how determinations will be made as to when Passes will be required, what days of the week and how the public will be notified of daily requirements.
5. Road & gate closure procedures, agency approvals & inter-agency communication procedures regarding that, and procedures for notifying the public of such closures via public information systems.
6. Rescue procedures and public notifications.
7. Procedures involving snowplay use of the Frazier Park Community Park by visitors & residents.
This request is made under the provisions of the federal Freedom of Information Act and the Calif. Public Records Act. This information will be made available to local interested parties upon receipt, in the hope of improving winter tourism coordination, transportation planning and traffic issues.
If you can provide us this and other ongoing winter-related snow and road condition information, we will assure that all local entities & businesses are informed, and develop and update an information system online to inform the public and these entities. If your agencies can send us applicable updates by email or call us, we will keep this system updated to current status as rapidly as possible. Thank you for your assistance; please let us know how we can help pass on any other relevant information to our contacts and the public.

MtPinos Message Board Advisory: When planning a visit to Mt. Pinos, always check with a reliable weather forecast, as well as the Los Padres Ranger District, for the latest conditions and recommendations. These are good places to start:
