I have been trying to trace a Joseph RAINEY Robertson, b. in Scotland, ca 1775.
One of his sons, Solomon RAINEY Robertson, also has that middle name.
Could it be through your RAINEY line? Husbands line?
I am literally grasping at straws, though I just got my 25 marker DNA results, and I apparantly am in a small group of Robertsons that devolved from a Hamilton line. Ring any bells?
