Hello. I am researching the meaning of the surnames Swafford and Friebis. My mother was named Barbara Ann Swafford, born 27 December 1942 in Frankfort, KY. Her mother was Ella Friebis, possibly born in Kentucky. If anyone could provide help finding the origin of these surnames and any info on these people or their relatives, I would be most appreciative.
