I am looking for any information relating to John Phillip William Smith, born 14 July 1828, Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky. I have no information as to his parents names, marriage, birth, etc. I do have an unreliable reference stating that his father was William Monroe Smith but that is also the name of his son (my grandfather). The reference states that his mother's name was Maria Jesus Bustamante but that is also the name of his second wife! I have checked and found a William Smith with a male child under the age of five on the 1830 census, Jefferson county. Who knows? Whatever information anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.
