: looking for my smith ellen smith her father
: was also murdered as a young child.
:
: Could you give me any more information
: about Ellen? Do you have a birth year and
: birth county for her. I may be able to help
: with a little more information. I have
: access to a lot more material than I did
: when I posted my original message. My
: grandmother Sallie Smith told my mother that
: her father had been murdered because of a
: feud. Apparently, everyone knew who had
: killed him. My grandmothers brother had said
: that when he grew up, he was going to kill
: the man that killed his father. Years later,
: this man was found hanging in his barn. My
: grandmothers brother said he had killed him.
: I haven't been able to find out much about
: this feud. There was supposed to have been
: quite a few murders. I guess I'll have to
: make a trip to Kentucky and try to find some
: newspaper archives. I would think that it
: would have been reported somewhere.

: Looking for parents of Sally or Sallie Smith
: born about 1919 in Magoffin County Kentucky.
: She was the second wife of Newt Cole (Son of
: Wallace or Wallis). I was told that Sally's
: father was murdered when she was still a
: child. The story goes that she found him in
: the field, he had been shot. I do not know
: if this was in Magoffin County or not. I
: would appreciate any information. Thank you
