Stolen Fila Pup - Arkansas Posted by girldogue on July 12, 2009, 11:41 pm PERMISSION TO CROSS-POST Around 1pm today CST, Sunday, this Fila pup was STOLEN at a RESTSTOP on HIGHWAY 30 IN HOPE, ARKANSAS. The new owner was heading back to Ohio from Dallas and stopped for gas and reststop. When she went inside to use the restroom, with the car locked but windows open slightly, witnesses said that two African American youths did a smash and grab and took the Red Brindle (Arecia) male Fila pup from her car. A police report can not be filed until tomorrow since the Hope, Arkansas police have a very limited staff at the police station so she is having to stay overnight in Hope to file a report tomorrow. The police are now saying that it may not even be their jurisdiction, but the county's?? Here is a pic of him just taken this morning. Damn the bad luck, friggin thieves Posted by Double Barrel Bulldogs on July 13, 2009, 8:02 pm, in reply to "Stolen Fila Pup - Arkansas" As a suggestion only I would call the local vets in the Hope area and fax them a bulletin. Could be some local thugs that case the rest stop for easy prey. We travel through Hope from Dallas quite often, it's a fairly small community and the thugs probably think they have a bloodhound or coon dog they can sell to a local hunter. Ask about dog auctions, there are often places that sell hunting dogs at auction. Hope some of this helps.  Post a Response

Pup was recovered Posted by robert_eptx on July 14, 2009, 2:27 pm, in reply to "Stolen Fila Pup - Arkansas" The other day, It was posted about a FILA puppy that was taken from a lady's car in Hope, Arkansas. The owner stayed overnight, talked with the police and then PUT UP several posters around. This morning, she was called and an elderly lady who said "she had found the pup wandering around" brought the pup to her, collected a good sized reward, and the pup was back with his owner and on his way home.
