Really dont know if this is really the right board to put in this enquiry. I have recently acquired a pug puppy of eight weeks old. I also would like to keep a large dog for protection at my house which is in the outskirts and after I am off to my office my wife is usually alone with no security guards at our door.
Earlier I was thinking about keeping a rottweiler then later realised the same has quite certain amount of dog aggression to take a chance at his own opportune moment on our little pug.
Now I am open to even a large dog whose size will be a detterent to people with nefarious intent to enter my house.
Can anyone tell me what all breeds are suitable to coexist with my pug. I am open to Great Dane, Bullmastiff - if they are the right choice to tolerate my Pug. Anyother breed comes to your mind are more than welcome.
Need your help on this.
