As a suggestion only I would call the local vets in the Hope area and fax them a bulletin. Could be some local thugs that case the rest stop for easy prey. We travel through Hope from Dallas quite often, it's a fairly small community and the thugs probably think they have a bloodhound or coon dog they can sell to a local hunter. Ask about dog auctions, there are often places that sell hunting dogs at auction. Hope some of this helps.
