Fila needs rescue

My local shelter has a gorgeous 3 year old neutered male Fila that needs out (fawn in colour). He's been there six months with no interest, and the shelter cannot continue to warehouse him. It's both impossible as they need the kennel space, and inhumane. This boy is good with cats and other dogs, knows basic obedience, housebroken. About 150lbs, could stand to gain 10-15lbs. Fits the Fila standard for temperament, gentle with people he knows, excellent guard dog. He WILL back up that bark, and requires a mastiff-experienced owner. This is not a watered-down sweet and fuzzy giant who just looks like a mastiff - this boy is the real thing. He is located in BC's Lower Mainland (Canada). For the right home (with references!) or rescue, transport could be set up. If you are interested, please shoot me an email and I'll put you in touch with the shelter worker handling his case.
