Tosa Inu

I took in Japanese Bull Mastiff that was born in
Miyagi Mastiff Kennel House in Okinawa,Japan on April 24,2007. The Serviceman who bought him and shipped him here didn't want him anymore. He was passed around to several homes. No one wanted to keep him cause he's big. He will stay with me forever. He is the most wonderful dog--with kids, other dogs (his side kick is a 25 lb beagle) he goes to Petco and Petsmart stores.Here
comes the but--I have a large fenced in yard that he loves--but he barks alot at the same people he see everyday.I don't want to make him not guard the house, but how do I get him to bark less.Will he get better once he's been here longer?
