I agree with Karin.Just enjoy him for what he is to you. For a rescued pet their lineage is pretty irrelevant even from the standpoint of health issues because whatever issues he may have will just have to be dealt with and should be head off with regular physical examinations and blood work. In my experience there are quite a few breeders that aren't very forth coming with their litters' faults anyway. Being "assured he is a champion" will only buy you a cup of coffee if you have $2 also.
