I don't know but I kind of feel like my experience with the Akita and my husbands with a GSD/Doberman mix were instrumental in helping us transition to the Tosa and now Presa/Corso mix and Presa. I was raised with GSDs and then went from a Boxer and English bulldog to the Akita pretty easily also. I think its more about being aware of what you are getting and having realisitic expectations. Good luck with whatever you decide.
