Mason I would look back at the Doberman breed if that has worked for you for a decade why change?
Now if you cant find dogs that look or act like that Doberman that would make sense.
But good Doberman and Rottie people do exist,.
And most rare molossers are NOT user friendly.
Dobermans were created by modern man to be user friendly or to WORK for modern man who created them.
Many of the Rare Molossers go back in time BEFORE modern man create laws, rules, courts and a system which does NOT allow dogs to have natural protection drives.
So please visit most rare molosser's you wish and understand most are not user friendly when compared to man made modern AKC breeds.
Depending on you level of protection you want and or dont want.
You got Swissies, Berners, Newfies, from one end to the ultimate guard dogs such as the CO- FIla- Presa-CAO Fila Sao miquel.
And then you have a HUGE range between those high end protection to low end user friendly dogs
