If you want or like the idea of the Hairy dog though...you could research any of the Ovcharka's I'd imagine...or the CAS. I currently have experience with both the Boerboels and the Caucasian Ovcharka's and I like them both for the job as long as the proper research is done and the dog comes from reputable and very knowledgeable breeders who can pair your needs and family with the dog that would best suit. Many of the Livestock Guardians would probably be worth researching for sure, but most do have some coat that they'll be blowing twice a year etc...
Other breeds...you could look into the Cane Corso as they have similar backgrounds that the Rotts have with their droving and livestock backgrounds...I'm not sure though how the breed as a whole is for guardian duties...not much experience or knowledge of the breed as a whole. Others might chime in on the breed too.
