What is your experience with guardian breeds?
A good Am Bull or Rottie will do the job - but if you are not experienced with Molossers and this type of dog, I would recommend a wellbred Rottie as they are not "as much" dog as a well bred Am Bul but would still do the job.
Then again, even a Lab can be taught to alert bark and that is often all that is needed.
Though a Rottie could cause your homeowner's insurance to go up or be dropped.
