My understanding is that a good rott will have good nerve and will do well if taught and instructed....but without instruction, the rott will be happy to entertain a burgular.
The average presa may not have the nerve of a rott but more natural tendencies to guard and protect.
Depends on what you want and how much of what you want to be natural.
