they should be OFA'd. when i fractured my ankle the duty doc called it a sprain but sent the x-rays to the radiologist for reading. so i am out doing predeployment training w/ my kids and i get a call from the office saying i need to head to the hospital. i get there and they tell me it's fractured and showed me the x-ray (it was obvious).
just like you wouldn't want a general practitioner operating on your heart. a general vet just normally isn't knowledgeable enough to equal the experience of OFA personnel.
