I also am a fan of the LGDs but, I have never owned one. Most of them are too long coated for me and, I'm not sure if a Kangal or CAS is right for me. In a few years, (not ready right now for any LGD) I'll visit breeders and do as much research as I can on the breeds. Was the Pyr the first LGD? Do you know what smooth coated LGD breeds would be more suitable for someone who never owned one of these breeds before?
