Rabbits and Chickens will be enclosed in hutches and coop, so direct contact shouldn't be necessary...at our current home the rabbit hutches are in the fence line w/ the bulldogs and we've never had a problem w/ predators.

Human protection is always a bonus in my book, so that wouldn't exclude breeds. Main concern is I just don't want a breed that is more interested in roaming than staying put w/ home and charges.

Any recommendations on good rescues that are good at placing working dogs?
