We're moving from 1 fenced acre in NC to 12 acres out in the SC country. It has fenced portions which will be used for our American Bulldogs, and the outside perimeter is lightly fenced. One side of the property is bordered by 200 some odd acres of woods/fields. No close or visible neighbors. The drive is gated and can be locked.
I'm looking for a dog that can keep an eye on rabbits, chickens, and possibly goats. Nightime varmint control, general property guardian.
Caveats being the dog would need to be kenneled at times, very home-based oriented (the ABs are too prey driven/wanderlust types to be not completely contained), and preferably more on the indifferent side to kenneled resident dogs.
I'm open to any suggestions.
