Putting the life of an animal on par with a human doesn't mean one respects all living things but that one does demean human life. The animal rights movement isn't about respecting all living things - thats one of its great lies.

Yawn. If you promote their crap then you're working against responsible pet owners and any animal ownership and as such are part of the problem. I spend a lot of time educating others on the agenda of the animal rights movement and why they should never support it or give any of those groups a dime.
*** Imo, if someone isn't part of the solution they are part of the problem.
Many in rescue are part of the problem not any solution because they can't see beyond their insular world and fail to grasp the bigger picture. Thats the tragedy of it.
