I support my local animal control as they have not gone AR and are now headed up by someone who has a very good head on his shoulders and is willing to work with people to improve but not impose! In fact he has postponed a meeting regarding an advisory committee another groups wants to have for the shelter (it is the local SPCA) because he is worried (as are others) it may become very AR in what they want the county to do. He is not for that at all! But he wants incentives and not force.

I support a local Sheltie rescue when I can because they are not solidly antibreeding - they are for educated breeding. In fact a few members of them are members of regional breed clubs as well.
