Purchased a home in April from the dealer in Meridian, Ms. They have yet to fix nay of the tape and texture work and say it is a limited warranty deal. Big Fleetwood says its the retailer's responsibility. As of today, the lot now belongs to Clayton Homes and they havent returned a call in 3 weeks. Since this was an FHA backed land/home deal, the FHA said send them (retailer)a certified letter and that they have 15 days to respond for the corrections. Is this truth or dare? Next step would be HUD sending a letter if the retailer does not reapond. Just drafted a letter and am sending to retailer, HUD, the mortgage company, the Firemarshal of Mississippi, the State Vet Affairs Dept, Fleetwood Inc, Clayton Homes, the fed and state Better Biz Bureaus, a congressman and a senator. Can anyone think of anyone else that may need one? I do not like the fact that my daughter alsmost injured herself because they would not fix the steps and now they wont finish their work. Thanks for letting me vent.
