We signed our loan papers the first part of January after being told the loan company hardly ever did anything between Thanksgiving and Christmas. (The weather was great then) We had purchased a Sunshine Home from a dealer in southeast Kansas (Pittsburg)and are really happy with the looks and construction. They came up and dug the footings and left them low so the underneath is like a swimming pool. No one came up to look at the property after we got the dirt work done or told us when they were bringing the home up. They called one day and said it was setting on the road by the property and couldn't get it in for some trees. We had to find a place to park it to till we got the trees cut. They only work on it about 1 or 2 days a week and then for a few hours. They put the water line in the wrong place (about 40 feet from where it should be) and then tried to get by with that. The sides set open with nothing covering them for a month in the rain and then they came up and put the siding on over the wet chipboard and broke the siding in several places but put it on anyway.
The driver hit a tree on the way up here and damaged one corner of the eaves and part was torn out. This has never been fixed nor the porch light that was broken off.
We never see the same people twice and when they mess up they leave it for the next person. It all started with the foundation and has got worse every time someone shows up. They aren't done yet and I can't imagine what is going to happen next. I haven't listed everything they have did.
Remember it is not only the home that is important to check out it is also the installers.
