We are victims of Clayton Homes in Alabama. We should have known better, because I always get this weird feeling when I think I'm being suckered. When we recieved our supposedly new home, I found it rather odd that one of the cabinets in the master bath had a hole the size of a softball in it. The strange part is, it just so happened to be half the home that we conviently ween't able to look at due to it being covered down the middle. I don't know of anyone in this area that's sharing in this continuous nightmare but it sure would be helpful. By BTW, this isn't nearly a small dent in the problems we are experincing. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!! if you have any information.

: We just purchased a Clayton Doublewide
: from Oakwood Homes , in Tulsa, Okla.
: WE've had shingles blown off ,us
: calling them , them not coming to
: fix them. Busted wall could fit both
: fist in . We had water come through
: the vent, a big puddle standing in
: our Masterbath, water ran down
: ceiling, came through at ceiling
: fan, orange spot , the man said it
: was the orange paper around the
: ceiling fan that wasn't covered up.
: They almost turned it over when
: bringing it on our land. Paneling
: damages, cracked ceiling almost 3'
: long, nails under floors didn't go
: in, just knocked overwith a hammer,
: some coming through, I could go on
: and on. We keep finding things,
: seems to be no end to this. I called
: the Corporate Office, man came from
: Tenn. He said he was expecting to
: here us say pull that thing off our
: land. After reading what I have and
: hearing and reading different cites
: about the same things, is rather
: scary. I'm Thinking I need that
: thing pulled off our site. The man
: that came up was
: vice president of the corporate
: office. We were being lied to from
: get-go, now I'm wandering if he's
: lying also. On the moisture barrier,
: could you you email me to let me
: know what and if there is an Okla.
: Law that says the company is
: required to put that under the home.
: It's a law in Texas, they are
: required to. I want to know if it's
: a law in OKlahoma. Please resp asap.
: Send me an email at the address I
: gave above.
