defective faucet and dishwasher

we bought our home a month ago and to this day its been a month and my faucet is still not fixed and i have no dishwasher. for what we paid for this home the retailer is giving us the run around, my husband finally told them we were getting a lawyer, their response to us was go ahead they dont take to threats. so here we sit with no help. what do i do next. i would appreciate any info into this matter
