Re: Walthers SW1: anyone getting it?
I hadn't heard of this new release but it sure is good news. I have two of the previous issue (15+ years ago) but I certainly have wondered why no one made a SW-1 model any more. These engines can be appropriate for a 70 year time span so they would be "correct" for many pikes, either as a "new" switcher in the 1940's or a grain elevator in the twenty-first century. The SW-1 on the Vreeland RR in the U.P. was built in 1939 and is still in operation in 2012!
