I've been awful busy lately, with a bun fresh out of the oven at home! Here is a pic of a fairly recent project, of modifying a Walthers loco to look more like a Conrail GP10. I got the Walthers loco about 15 years ago. It was pretty cheap, which shows in the lack of detail in the shell. I had to do a number of modifications (including new decals on the long hood), and added the air filter housing. I discovered I should have used thicker styrene, as the small amount of glue I used warped the plastic. I have some pictures of one of these beauties in Kalamazoo around 1996. Unfortunately, the Walthers engines run faster than other models. They run smoothly, but stop before they get to slow speeds.
