The switchers are Saginaw Valley inspired. I just need to find 3 sets of good SGVY decals to "finish" them off.
The GP38 was actually inspired by the Saginaw Valley as well. If I weren't kind of proto-freelancing locomotives of HESR/etc. heritage, it could serve as an example of what can go wrong when you don't do all your research before sending a locomotive to the paint shop. Apparently SGVY 301 never wore the SVSU red that the switchers wore before being painted in RailAmerica's red/silver/blue paint scheme. I found this out after posting pictures of the completed project to the internet . For what it's worth, this unit was sent to the New England Central as it's 3869. It seems kind of ironic that the HESR would eventually get a GP38 sent back from the NECR...
