I am the great-granddaughter of Daniel Boone Callaway Neal born in Lee County, Virginia in 1832. His father was Barton Neal. I don't know when Barton was born or who he married. I know that He moved to Kentucky after 1832 and, according to family history, owned a large farm in Powell's Valley, Kentucky. I think that his wife's maiden name was Callaway and was related to Daniel Boone, hence his son Daniel's name. I don't know if Daniel had siblings but think that he did. At some point Daniel moved to Cedar County, Missouri where he married Sarena Angeline Crnutt in 1876. They had several children, three girls survived childhood. My grandmother, Lola Mae Neal Ruff was the middle child, born in 1881. Daniel Neal died in Aug. 1909 and is buried in Jerico Springs, Cedar County, Missouri. I think that we may be related. Any info that you have that would shed some light on Barton or Daniel Neal would be greatly appreciated as I am having a terrible time finding any further info on them.
Thanks,
Sandra Jennings
