i cant say this enough...don't waste your money on a cheap fish finder. if you wanna use something for the winter, then you must buy a flasher regardless of the price...there is no comparing anything to a vexilar/marcum....if you can't afford them...look for a used one. check ebay, or look around, but if it's not a flasher then it will be terrible for the hard water season
i'm a student too, and i wont waste my money on are cheap product when i know there a much better ones on the market.
