Posted by bean My friend and I have been out a bunch of times in the last months looking for some fish. We started up by Northern Lights (Madelaine, Windy). We heard we should try out sandstone lake - so we gave that a try today. We were off an island today and had no luck. To boot, the skidoo gave out on us half-way across the lake and 2 hours later we finally got it up and running again. We were looking for some little river-mouth from the maps available at canadian tire -- but couldnt find it. Instead we found a foot of slush as we went out farther - and just buried our crap in slush. What a pain in the arse that all was. Is there any suggestions of where we can find some fish? We've yet to see on pickrel - only a couple pike. We are also pretty new to ice fishing - so who knows what else we could be doing wrong! Thanks guy,

Hey guys,
We've also been by Trout Lake and recently up to a friends camp on Perch lake (a little past atikokan) - but to no avail. We've only been able to nail maybe 4 fish in total in our dozen trips. (between the two of us)
